Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field. A Master's Degree in information technology is a plus.
General Experience: Experience performing architecture related work on at least five (5) IT systems.
Specialized Experience: Experience performing a significant role in all aspects of architecture related work on at least two (2) large IT systems.
Personnel Preferred Experience
1. 5 years' experience as a systems architect
2. Demonstrated progression in responsibilities and roles, with experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions within the Transportation Industry.
3. Expert level knowledge or experience in enterprise-level modeling and tools (ex. UML)
4. Experience building solutions in MS Azure
5. Active PMP certification
6. Active mid to advanced cloud certification (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
7. 6 years' experience with MS Power Platform.
Substitution of Education for Experience
A bachelor's degree or higher may be substituted for the general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a High School Diploma. A master's degree may be substituted
for two years of general and specialized experience for those labor categories requiring a bachelor's degree. Substitution shall be reviewed and approved by the State at its discretion.
