Vice President Operations - HVAC/BAS - Houston, TX
As Vice President of Operations you will be responsible for the HVAC and BAS Installation arm of the business. Within the business unit, you will manage a team of 125+ providing service and project installations. As part of a product manufacturing company, you will work closely with other members of the executive team to provide a holistic approach in the market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a sustainable and scalable operations strategy aligned with overall business goals for the HVAC and BAS installation arm of the company.
Conduct long-term planning to ensure operational resilience and growth.
Drive operational efficiency, consistency, and continuous improvement across all functions.
Implement process optimizations to exceed customer expectations.
Manage and improve operational profitability (P&L) for C&I.
Determine and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for service delivery.
Champion customer feedback mechanisms to understand and exceed customer needs.
Lead, guide, and evaluate the performance of the management and executive teams.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and adaptability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and synergy.
Identify and mitigate operational risks.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Analyze operational performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Make data-driven decisions to achieve successful outcomes.
Allocate resources effectively to maintain high-quality operations within budget constraints.
Demonstrate integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior in all decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field from an accredited university.
10+ years of progressive operations management experience within a large, decentralized service-based organization.
Proven track record of success in process improvement, optimization, and change management.
P&L management and hands-on project budgeting experience.
Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire high-performing teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving objectives.
Proficiency in commonly used and specialized software applications.
Ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to set, monitor, and achieve ambitious goals.
