We are currently looking to hire a Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager, Packaging!
The Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager, Packaging will work with both internal and external partners to identify and execute sourcing strategies for the supply of paper, plastic, corrugate, caps, and film packaging for Horizon's production network. This position will lead and/or contribute to key sourcing projects while monitoring and driving key performance indicators related to financial performance, quality/legal compliance, and responsible sourcing.
This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Broomfield, CO. Travel required up to 25% of the time.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Packaging and Market Management:
Develop and maintain in-depth category knowledge for paper, plastic, corrugate, caps, and film packaging markets. Sustain an understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies.
Co-develop the packaging sourcing strategy with the business team.
Maintain connection with internal stakeholders such as R&I, Operations, Quality, Marketing to ensure regional business needs are being met
Supplier Relationship and Performance Management:
Manage and lead the supply network for respective categories
Identify, build, and develop Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) with category suppliers, which should be in line with objectives set by the company. This includes setting and tracking performance objectives, scheduling annual business reviews, and delivering on innovation targets.
The base compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.
About You:
A bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, etc.), MBA preferred.
7+ years prior work experience in procurement/purchasing or related field; preferably in CPG beverage/food supply chain procurement.
A proven track record of successful network building, negotiations and contract lifecycle management, data analysis, and sourcing-related decision making.
Strong leadership capabilities and ability to take initiative with little supervision.
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) with the ability to hold internal and external stakeholders accountable.
A results-focused attitude in a fast-moving environment; Experience problem solving in an urgent situation.
Attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong knowledge of ERP systems.
