The Senior Project Manager for Renewable Energy reports to the President and COO of MSGI. Also, responsible for budget and organizational goals to align with our priorities and strategy.
Responsibilities:
Provide business development oversight for the region or business unit
Monitor, track and provide fiscal oversight for the region or business unit
Oversee region/business unit in all aspects of job site safety and adherence to OSHA standards
Provide and manage operations for the region or business unit according to the hiring company's protocols and processes
Build effective relationships with customers, specialty contractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect/support company vision, mission, and core values to meet/exceed customer expectations
Provide inspection and quality assurance on construction projects determining if completed work is compliant to project plans and specifications
Coordinate work with contractors and various public utilities agencies
Maintain the records and reports related to the project
Coordinate with the contractors and negotiate change orders
Assist in inspections to assure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and special provisions on all phases of construction
Assist in the preparation of contract change orders, contract estimates, progress pay estimates, and other documents or reports required for the project
Coordinate construction materials to monitor compliance with contract specifications
Identify material concerns proactively and works with purchasing to avoid schedule disruptions
Manage project workload by prioritizing work to meet deadlines and budgetary constraints
Build, develop and grow vendor, subcontractor, and field personnel relationships to assure success of the project
Communicate project goals and status with key project stakeholders and job site personnel
Monitor, control, and report on financial performance of each project managed
Estimate, negotiate and procure vendors and materials for project
Provide project administrative oversight by communicating complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or any other entity to key stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, and/or Associate Degree, Trade School Certification, and/or relevant field experience (Electrical, Telecommunications, or Construction)
Certification as a PMP with the Project Management Institute (PMI) or CCM with the Construction Management Association of American (CMAA) is highly desirable
7+ years prior construction and project management experience with a proven track record of completing projects on time and on budget; renewable energy experience is highly desirable
Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment
Advanced mathematical skills and technical abilities
Advanced knowledge in building and construction
Ability to read and understand blueprints both physically and digitally
Superior verbal and written communication skills
High level of professionalism and strong sense of urgency
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
