Position Summary:
The Supplier Collaboration and Material Planning Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the timely availability of materials required for facility production. The incumbent collaborates closely with suppliers to monitor and execute planned orders and schedules, resolve supply chain issues, and ensure production continuity. The position interacts regularly with facility production schedulers, operations personnel, and other internal teams to ensure material availability and inventory integrity. This role is integral to the optimization of material flow, inventory accuracy, and production schedules. The role provides a dynamic opportunity to directly impact operational efficiency and supply chain performance.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
Supplier Collaboration: Collaborates with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time, in the correct quantity, and according to production schedules.
Production Support: Works closely with facility production schedulers and operations teams to ensure the availability of materials at the point of use to support uninterrupted production.
Inventory and Planning Integrity: Ensures alignment of inventory systems and planning parameters with production schedules to maintain planning integrity for all materials.
Performance Monitoring: Supports efforts to improve supply chain performance by tracking and monitoring supplier performance metrics, ensuring corrective actions are taken for quality or performance issues.
Typical Day or Week in the Role:
Task Breakdown:
Collaborate with suppliers daily to manage delivery schedules and resolve supply chain issues.
Monitor and adjust material orders, delivery timelines, and inventory levels to meet production requirements.
Utilize MRP systems to track material requirements, implement engineering changes, and ensure inventory accuracy.
Perform root cause analysis on supply chain disruptions and collaborate with suppliers on corrective actions.
Support supply chain performance initiatives by analyzing supplier metrics and contributing to ongoing improvements in material availability.
Interface regularly with facility teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely product availability for production.
Technical Skills:
Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data analysis.
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
General knowledge of production scheduling, capacity management, and inventory control processes.
Desired:
Knowledge of material control, purchasing, parts distribution, logistics, and operations.
Experience with troubleshooting MRP, Lognet, or MTS systems.

This is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position $25 - $28 (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
