Purpose of Position
Assist with ongoing research in the Dr. Chen Lab.
Duties & Responsibilities
The applicant will design and conduct experiments outlined in funded grants as well as test new hypotheses related to the infectious disease (HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2) and neurodegenerative disorders. These experiments will include cells culture, molecular, histologic, and biochemical analysis, and confocal microscopy. The successful candidate is expected to generate data that contribute to the publication of original research paper.

Minimum Requirements
Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or related field
Experiences in 3 of the 5 following areas (as demonstrated in CV):
HIV-1
SARS-CoV-2
Endolysosomes
Cellular senescence
Neuroinflammation
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with molecular/genetic studies of organelle cell biology
Demonstrated experience with neuroinflammation, senescence, and/or neurodegeneration
