Job Description:

Salary/Position Classification


  • 16.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)

  • 5 hours per week

  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No

  • Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No


Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promote the Department of Communication and its undergraduate degrees, graduate degrees, and certificate programs to prospective students via tabling events on campus and digital channels

  • Assist with the creation and publication of the UND Communicator, the departmental newsletter sent out to alumni in every June and December

  • Provide administrative assistance as needed

Minimum Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Willingness to learn to explain the Department of Communication and its undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificate programs fluently

  • Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of Student Finance

  • Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester

  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with social media accounts and how they operate

    • Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn



  • Experience with Graphic Design and programs like Canva, Adobe Create Suite, or Microsoft products
