What to Expect



The Manager, Operations Training is responsible for supporting the operations training team vision, strategy, and training plans for operations. The Manager, Operations Training supports continuous re-engineering within the training delivery platforms and drives innovation with a focus on leading-edge virtual and remote learning to effectively modernize the "way of work" and adhere to the community of learning plan. Additional responsibilities may include end-to-end curriculum management and ensuring learning solutions and programs are engaging and aligned with the strategic goals of the organization. In addition, incumbents take a consultative approach to understanding business needs to deliver training curriculum that aligns with business objectives and KPIs. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.



What You Will Do



1. Deliver training that aligns to the training departments community of learning plan for new hire training, skill-up, refresher and leadership sessions within operations. Delivery includes using multiple methods to ensure knowledge & skills transfer, planning, and preparing materials to ensure strategic alignment between training and operations.

2. During new hire training, hold team members accountable for performance and behaviors as outlined in company and department policies and procedures. Based on observed behaviors, collaborate with department supervisors and employee relations to ensure that the proper process is followed, all tracking mechanisms are updated, accurate and shared with business leaders and ER as applicable.

3. Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co[1]create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance.

4. Support new hire training speed to proficiency goals through performance co-coaching with department supervisors post-new hire training 30-60-90 days.

5. Support the design and development of training content and material to ensure the content aligns with policy, procedures, and business practices.

6. Measure trainer effectiveness and impact using training department KPIs and business metrics to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.

7. Identifying training needs by consulting with stakeholders and using needs assessments to develop structured learning plans and materials in a variety of media formats for self-study, workshop, or electronic delivery.

8. All other duties as assigned.



Qualifications




What You Will Bring



• 5+ years of training experience in automotive finance industry with demonstrated understanding of the adult learning theory principles and capacity to deliver organizational learning activities.

• Instructional Design experience preferred.

• 2+ years of management experience preferred.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Formal certification/education/experience in performance consulting, applying ADDIE or related learning models, adult development theory, or curriculum development is desired.

• Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to automotive financing and call center operations.

• Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing long-range strategic initiatives.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to create training reports and present to senior management and stakeholders.

• Must have the ability to collaborate with senior management and work with outsource partners.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, XL, PowerPoint).

• Demonstrated process improvement skills with an advanced ability to conceptualize and design new methods for practical application. Effectively manage and lead change.

• A high degree of subject matter expertise in the financial services industry particularly as it relates to training standard operating practices.



Work Environment



Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.


The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
