The Privacy & Public Policy team is looking for someone to join the Legislation and Policy Development team, which enables the company's product vision and policy agenda by shaping the legislative and regulatory landscape on privacy, data use, and AI.As a Policy Associate, you will support legislative analysis, development of external materials to advance Meta's advocacy goals, and development of strategic initiatives on emerging policy issues. You will also help drive improvements to internal processes around gathering and sharing legislative insights for leadership and internal compliance planning.
Privacy Policy Associate Responsibilities:
Support various legislative analysis.
Support the development of external materials to advance Meta's advocacy goals.
Support the development of strategic initiatives on emerging policy issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Law Degree
4+ years of work experience in policy or law
Demonstrated knowledge of public policy environment and dynamics
Familiarity with data and emerging technology policy issues, including governance approaches on AI, data
Demonstrated experience developing clear and concise emails, documents, and presentations.
Demonstrated experience in delivering projects in high-pressure, time-sensitive scenarios
Detail-oriented and organized, with demonstrated experience in adapting quickly to changing circumstances.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working experience in the privacy and technology policy fields
Familiarity with the perspectives of stakeholders in the data and emerging technology policy landscape.
Experience in navigating inconsistent views to reach a consensus
Experience of proactively identifying, scoping and implementing innovative solutions
Experience of switching between detailed work and high-level strategic thinking.
