The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for development of marketing, branding, communication for the Forage Genetics International (FGI) business, including traits and internal seed brands. This position touches all customer types (internal/external) and requires a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Seed Brand & Trait Marketing Support
Responsible for the tactical execution of marketing, branding and communications for the brands and traits.
Responsible for maintenance of websites, marketing material, SharePoint sites and web portals
Training & Education
Responsible for updates and ongoing development of trait and brand training materials
Collaborate with the sales team to determine topics, develop content and materials and communicate broadly
Own and support the training tool management
Conference, Tradeshow & Event Support
Responsible for FGI, trait and alfalfa brand industry conferences, tradeshow and field day events, with agencies, vendors, key conference contacts, sales, meeting and events and overall marketing team
Arrange speakers, determine material needs, coordinate giveaways and promotional items, invite attendees, create excitement, and follow up with attendees (survey) as applicable.
Manage booth opportunities as FGI seed brand marketing and trait support
GPOS Reporting Support
Support collection of reporting, data cleanup, account reconciliation, communications and program review.
Responsible for new system onboarding, communications and training and resources
Use data to deliver insights and provide recommendations
Marketing Support
Work with R&D to identify marketing needs
Own the refresh and redesign of R&D facilities and customer facing events
Check shared inbox regularly. Distribute or delete as necessary
Work with marketing/channel manager to maintain/update portal materials
Support PR, events and opportunities
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related discipline
2+ years successful experience in marketing (additional sales or operations experience a plus)
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to interact well with customers, suppliers, employees and management at all levels.
Proven ability to solve and resolve issues quickly and effectively
Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Industry experience in agriculture, food sciences, or life sciences is preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills with all levels, presentation skills, concentration, memory and decision making all part of normal job.
Travel may be required up to 25%
The salary range for this role is $69,040 - $103,560
