Job Description:

The Research Coordinator will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination, and execution of cardiology-focused clinical trials. This position involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and maintaining the highest standards of research integrity and patient care.
Key Responsibilities



  • Study Coordination: Manage day-to-day operations of clinical trials, including protocol implementation, patient recruitment, and data collection.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and institutional policies.

  • Patient Engagement: Serve as a liaison between patients, clinicians, and the research team to ensure smooth study participation and follow-up.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date study documentation, including case report forms, consent documents, and regulatory submissions.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with investigators, research nurses, and administrative staff to meet study milestones.

  • Budget Management: Assist in developing and monitoring study budgets, including managing grants and funding allocations.

Essential:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Nursing, Public Health).
  • Experience in clinical research or a related field.
  • Knowledge of research regulations, including GCP and IRB processes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master's in Clinical Research or related discipline).
  • Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or equivalent.
  • Experience in cardiology or a related medical field.
  • Proficiency in electronic data capture systems and research software.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.

Residency Requirement:

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
