Title: Outbound Coordinator

Monday - Friday
7:00am - 3:30pm
(Hours may shift based on business need.)
Job Purpose:
The Outbound Coordinator is responsible for the ownership of Outbound shipments of GUM for all Mars Wrigley affiliates.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
• Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping
• Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces
• Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
• Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or inventory control
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
• Primary point of contact with Carriers, communicate with carriers on a daily basis about what trailers are ready, what trailers are out of service, holiday schedule, and unusual situations that need resolving.
• Work with the network schedulers on recommended shipments for DCs ensuring each DC gets the inventory needed.
• Report to Canada the numbers of loaded and empty trailers, analyzing inventory levels they need, report on what items are loaded onto which trailer, and when they can expect the items in Canada.
• Collaborate with Mexico to Ship pellet gum to two of their DCs (MX40 and MX30)
• Schedule shipments of gum base to Mexico.
• Schedule LTL shipments for everything leaving the factory with Uber Freight. Communicate the details to Uber Freight, communicate the BOL and the shipment to the receiving team, and transport the shipment to the receiving dock so it can be loaded up.
• Provide audit team information about specific items that are shipped out when an audit is being conducted by a third-party team, usually once a year in June.
• Communicate with the quality team when pallets are placed on hold and ensure nothing that is on hold is sent out without written authorization from the quality team. Communicate this information to the shipping team, when necessary, if a situation arises.
• In the invent of pallets needing to be removed, reopen the load on JDA, and go into Putty to systematically remove the needed LPNs.
• Be able to develop best practices for the area and ensure best practices are followed
