Shermco US is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Senior BI Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer service-oriented Sr IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's IT infrastructure. This role requires a dynamic individual who can ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our IT systems while delivering exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders.

As the Sr IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will work closely with other departments to develop and support innovative solutions that meet our business needs. Your role will be critical in fostering a customer-focused approach within the IT team, ensuring that our technology infrastructure not only supports but enhances our service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Infrastructure Design, Implement, and Maintenance:

    • Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of IT infrastructure projects, including servers (Azure and Hyper-V on-prem), networks, storage, and cloud solutions.
    • Ensure the stability, performance, and security of all IT systems.
    • Manage the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
  • Customer Service and Support:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated IT infrastructure and software issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
    • Implement and promote best practices for service desk and support within the IT team.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Collaborate with senior management to align IT infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for technology improvements and innovation to enhance service delivery.
    • Assist in IT infrastructure budgets and manage vendor relationships.
  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure all IT infrastructure components comply with relevant regulations and security standards.
    • Implement robust security measures to protect company data and systems from threats.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of IT infrastructure and software.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Monitor the performance of IT infrastructure and provide regular reports to management.
    • Use data and metrics to drive continuous improvement in service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7-9 years of experience in IT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in customer service or support roles within an IT environment.
  • Expertise in managing and supporting complex IT infrastructures, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud platforms.
  • Strong understanding in Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation
  • Proficiency in database management and SQL
  • Proficiency in PowerShell
  • Excellent planning and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and support.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Apply Agile and ITIL framework principles and processes to solve problems.
