Job Description:

Job Title: Tank Waste Operations (TWO) Project Manager Support


Location: Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Field Office (HFO) and the Hanford Site in Richland, WA. This position may be telework eligible at the discretion of the DOE Technical Monitor (TM) in consultation with the DOE Contracting Officer (CO). If this position is identified as telework eligible, there will be a 30-day waiting period in which 100% in-office support will be expected. If in-person support is identified as required for any reason and for any length of time by the DOE TM or DOE CO, it is required to report for duty in-person as requested.


Citizenship: US citizenship required

Compensation: $126,000.00- $204,000.00. The salary range may vary based on years of experience, skillset, educational level and relevant professional background. You will receive a competitive total rewards package that is applicable to the U.S. only.

Scope of Work Summary: AttainX, Inc. is in search of TWO Project Manager Support candidate to support our government client, DOE. The TWO Project Manager Support position requires expert technical and programmatic assistance in the implementation of robust decision-analytical processes of capital projects including the development of decision papers (memorandum), preparation of decision trees and tables, analysis of risks, development of roadmaps and decision frameworks and assistance in framing, making and implementing decisions by DOE.

Minimum Required Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or other technical degree.
  • 10 years of experience as a federal director, federal project director/manager, federal executive or commensurate level private sector senior leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • A demonstrated ability to work and lead in a collaborative federal contractor partnership approach.
  • A demonstrated ability to independently develop written documents and presentations suitable for use with senior federal executives and external stakeholders.
  • A working-level knowledge of the Hanford Site mission, activities and priorities.
  • A working-level knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication responsiveness and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) 365, specifically Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Job Duties Include:

  • Providing support to TWO by completing reviews of and/or preparing capital project critical decision documents and supporting preparation for independent external reviews.
  • Providing professional assistance in making and implementing decisions to be relied upon by DOE's senior leadership and used for obtaining subsequent support and approval via established approval processes and required by DOE's Washington D.C. Headquarters (HQ) staff and professional experts.
  • Developing documentation and communication tools in the capital project critical decision, Independent Cost Review and Independent Project Review preparations and process.
  • Supporting mission support tasks for TWO senior management/staff and developing white papers and other programmatic documents in areas to support communications to stakeholders.
  • Utilizing excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
