How will you make an impact?

As a Process Technician Trainee, you will work closely with senior technicians (Tech II, III, and IV) to support production schedules by performing mold changeovers, learning troubleshooting skills, and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the injection molding process.

What will you do?



  • Support production schedules: Review daily schedules to identify necessary startups and changeovers.


  • Perform mold setups: Pull, set, and perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on molds as scheduled.


  • Conduct audits: Perform daily process audits to ensure all processes are within established tolerances.


  • Maintain molds: Clean molds daily and document activities accurately.


  • Startup processes: Complete mold setup, including mold hang, watering, robot setup, and startup procedures.


  • Inspect and adjust: Visually inspect startup parts before submitting them to quality assurance and make minor adjustments to robots when necessary.


  • Document activities: Accurately document quality, maintenance, or tooling issues per GMP standards.


  • Monitor production: Ensure production goals are met and escalate recurring issues through proper channels.


  • Follow procedures: Execute standardized, routine tasks as outlined in written directions.


  • Ensure cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of machines and molds to meet company standards.


  • Promote safety: Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations.


  • Comply with policies: Follow all procedures within the company’s security policy.

How will you get here?

Education and Experience:


  • Associate degree in a technical field, Technical School Certification, or a strong mechanical background.

  • Ability to score well on a mechanical aptitude test.

  • Equivalent combinations of work experience and education will also be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:


  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn injection molding processes and troubleshooting techniques.

  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and documentation requirements.

  • Basic understanding of machine operation and safety standards.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.

  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety policies.
