Ojai Health and Rehabilitation is seeking dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for both AM and NOC shifts. We offer a competitive NOC shift differential.
General Purpose
The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.
Essential Duties
Resident Identification and Care:
Verify resident identity using wristbands or photo cards before administering treatments or serving meals.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
Ensure residents' rooms are prepared for arrivals and assist with personal belongings during transfers or discharges.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse promptly.
Document care provided and resident information accurately on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain confidentiality of residents' protected health information, adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Report any accidents, incidents, or suspected unauthorized access to facility information systems.
Follow established infection control policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Resident Support and Interaction:
Create a welcoming atmosphere by greeting residents, introducing them to roommates and staff, and ensuring their comfort.
Assist with mobility, including lifting, turning, positioning, and transporting residents as needed.
Respond promptly to resident calls and ensure personal care needs are met, especially for those unable to request assistance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Participate in shift reports and meetings with nursing personnel to address and improve service delivery.
Cooperate with inter-departmental staff to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
Report resident complaints and grievances to supervisors to ensure timely resolution.
