Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovation



Responsible for managing the day to day Incident Response & 3rd Party operations to ensure the standards of the contract are met in a cost effective, safe and efficient manner.



What You Will Do:



  • Communicate with the TMC (Traffic Monitoring Center) and FDOT by 2-way radio and telephone to provide information and updates pertaining to incidents.



  • Actively participate in TMC bi-monthly meetings.

  • Determines best approach (self-performance or subcontract) for bringing assets into contract compliance considering cost, timeliness, and efficiency. Sources and qualifies new subcontractors.

  • Monitors operational, safety and financial performance, conducts operational and financial analysis, and prepares performance information and recommendations for incorporation into the periodic reports to management.

  • Serves as Leader and technical advisor to Incident Response crews.

  • Leads daily safety briefings and inspects crew's PPE, Trucks, heavy equipment and tools before operations.

  • Utilize Signal 4 to capture all 3rd party incidents and assist with gaining access to police reports of said accidents. Lead all 3rd party resources in minimizing time data is gathered and reports are presented to insurance companies.

  • Inspects in-process and completed work to ensure safe compliance with contract requirements.

  • If a Webber vehicle is involved in an incident (wreck) assist with carrying out drug & alcohol testing at an approved lab along with the paperwork needed and follow-up.

  • Available to answer calls and attend severe incidents on Holidays/Nights/Weekends.




Who You Are: A Profile of Success



  • The Incident Response Superintendent is expected to have 2-3 years of skilled trade/ engineering experience

  • Within the first three months have a good working knowledge of the contract and Programs needed to Drive the Project.

  • Working knowledge of state and federal safety, environment, and EEO/DBE guidelines and regulations.

  • Ability to maintain detailed records

  • Be an ambassador in implementing policies and procedures.

  • Valid Driver's license with good driving record (Required)
