We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Leader to spearhead the adoption and advancement of back-office automation technologies in our operations. This role will oversee the deployment of platforms such as ServiceNow Financial Services Operations (FSO), Business Process Management (BPM) tools, and Microsoft Power Platform to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and deliver exceptional business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading automation technology transformations within the financial services industry, combining technical expertise with strategic vision and leadership skills.
Functionally, Product Owner is a member of an agile team and manages the Information Technology (IT) product development process to ensure that Webster Bank's needs are met. Works with scrum teams to determine product features and manage product backlog items, as well as communicate with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction. Leverages deep understanding of the capabilities and functionality of the product suite of applications, thus delivering value to the business unit. Manages a team of employees. Develops and implements production support processes. Brings significant banking technology experience and multiple specific skill sets.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and drive the technology roadmap for back-office automation, ensuring alignment with the bank's overall business strategy.
Identify opportunities for leveraging automation to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
Platform Deployment & Management:
Lead the implementation and integration of automation platforms, including ServiceNow FSO, BPM, and Microsoft Power Platform, into existing systems.
Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Oversee the customization and optimization of platforms to meet the unique needs of banking operations.
Team Leadership:
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing technology team, fostering innovation and collaboration.
Encourage continuous learning and upskilling in emerging automation technologies.
Process Optimization:
Collaborate with business units to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and design automated solutions that reduce costs and improve accuracy.
Drive initiatives to integrate AI/ML capabilities into automation platforms for predictive insights and decision-making.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure all automation technologies and processes adhere to banking regulations, data privacy standards, and internal policies.
Proactively address risks related to platform security and operational integrity.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with business leaders, operations teams, and external vendors to align technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Communicate progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and key stakeholders.
Performance Metrics & Reporting:
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation initiatives.
Provide regular reports on project outcomes, efficiencies gained, and ROI achieved.
Education, Experience & Skills
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with at least 5 years in the financial services industry.
Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as ServiceNow FSO, BPM tools, and Microsoft Power Platform.
Proven track record of implementing large-scale technology transformations.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of banking operations, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
Expertise in workflow automation, data integration, and advanced technologies like AI/ML.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in delivering Enterprise solutions by managing a team of Developers, Business Analysts, architects, Scrum Masters, and app support analysts.
Experience in product management lifecycle, background in Agile framework.
Experience in application support and delivery.
Certifications (Preferred):
Relevant certifications in ServiceNow, BPM platforms, Microsoft Power Platform, or financial technology.
The estimated salary range for this position is $185,000.00 to $210,000.00. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
