Ben Bridge Jeweler's corporate office in Downtown Seattle is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team.


Job Summary:


The HR Generalist supports the People Services department by assisting with daily HR operations.  This role oversees the benefits programs.  The HR Generalist will collaborate with the Senior HR Manager to ensure smooth HR processes and support the organization’s strategic goals.


Primary Duties and Resposibilites:



  • Employee Relations - Address employee complaints/concerns, conduct investigations, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.

  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and provide guidance on employment-related issues.



  • Benefits Administration - Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues. Owns benefits open enrollment activities. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.  Performs regular audits of benefits-related data.

  • Leave Administration - Oversees leaves processes, including FMLA, and other types of leave. Ensure accurate tracking and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicates associates on leave to Payroll on bi-weekly basis.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Administers Workers Compensation program adhering with OSHA requirements.  Participates as a supporting member of the Safety Committee.

  • Prepare comprehensive HR reports and conduct data analysis to inform decision-making.

  • Creates and publishes company newsletter.  Gathers input for articles from others in the organization. 

  • Manages Service and Sales Achievement recognition programs.  Calculates eligibility for awards.  Coordinate events and initiatives to celebrate achievements.

  • Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration in the absence of the primary payroll manager.

  • Support Performance Management.  Assist in the development, implementation and administration of the performance management program.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.


Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.

  • 4+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on Employee Relations or related discipline.

  • 2+ years' experience in employee investigations.

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

  • Proficiency with broad suite of technology but not limited to HRIS systems and cloud-based vendor platforms. Experience with UKG is a plus.

  • Experience in leave management.


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Intermediate knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws

  • Multi-state experience is desired

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team and other outside departments

  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and handle sensitive situations with discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues

  • Capability to analyze data and generate reports

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software


Working Standards:



  • Hybrid schedule, will be required to work on site in office 3 days a week, or on assigned days

  • Occasional travel may be required


Pay Range: $78,000 - $90,000 per year


Fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience levels, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
