Job Overview:


Arm is seeking a Senior Principal CPU Micro-architect. This individual will be responsible for leading the effort in analyzing the feasibility of next-generation architecture features.. Working closely with architect, performance modeling, and RTL prototyping teams!


Responsibilities:


  • Analyzing next-generation architecture features and up-and-coming concepts to assess the microarchitectural impact of the feature.

  • Leading and driving the hardware feasibility assessment work across a collection of teams responsible for analyzing workloads, performance modeling, and RTL prototyping.

  • Collaborating with the Arm IP teams to share information and obtain feedback on the microarchitectural impact of new architecture features.

  • Providing microarchitectural feedback to architects to inform the architecture development and shape the architecture.



Required Skills and Experience :


  • Working knowledge of CPU microarchitectures; including understanding of all blocks and structures within a modern CPU.

  • Background in RTL development, performance modeling, and workload analysis.

  • Ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to work in virtual teams and drive to results in matrix work environment

  • Ability and desire to mentor members of the team with the intent on developing well-rounded engineers.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and Comfortable working with immature technologies.



"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :


  • Broad understanding of the Arm CPU architecture.

  • Knowledge of Arm CPU IP.

  • Understanding of Arm system architectures.

  • Understanding of the software / hardware boundary and the architecture's role in providing a contract between the two.

  • Experience leading teams consisting of diverse skills.

Salary Range:
$273,020-$369,380 per year
