Position: Manager, Advanced Analytics
Job Location: 221 River Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
Duties: Responsible for building scalable forecasting and inventory allocation models including inbound, outbound, cube capacity, and returns to support the WFS business. Develop a framework for continuous optimization of the WFS network that meets Walmart's overarching customer needs and supply chain goals. Apply a wide range of data science techniques and tools combined with subject matter expertise to support transportation and forecasting strategies and automate decision making throughout the business. Establish scalable data pipelines for large scale data analyses, mathematical model development, model validation, and implementation. Collaborate with product teams and cross functional stakeholders to deploy scalable machine learning solutions and acquire data by building necessary SQL / ETL queries. Present analysis and findings to leadership. Implement strategies to improve business metrics, including reducing IB and OB volumes, optimizing inventory allocation, improving SKU level forecasts, reducing Air ship percentages, and increasing On Time Delivery. Optimize inventory health, including increasing in-stock percentage and reducing excess inventory. Drive seller and inventory allocation across the fulfillment center network and consolidation centers. Develop and drive the strategy of network design on how to allocate inventory throughout the network to reduce cost to serve and improve the seller and customer experience. This position does not supervise other employees.
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field.
Skills required: Experience coding in an object-oriented programming language (Python, Spark, or R). Experience designing and implementing Rest API using Python. Experience analyzing and designing databases and queries in SQL and NoSQL. Experience designing and implementing cloud computing architecture and data pipelines including Azure, GCP, and databricks. Experience designing and maintaining Machine Learning, time series forecasting, reinforcement learning, and deep learning models. Experience building data visualizations using Tableau, Looker, and PowerBI. Experience with algorithmic design and analysis. Experience developing large-scale ML/AI solutions. Experience with agile methodologies using project planning and tracking management tool JIRA. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
