DUTIES:

Monitoring access control and challenging those without proper identification.Maintaining the visitor management system, checking visitors, guests.Issuing badges and access cards and maintaining security logs.Monitoring a CCTV system.Vehicle and Foot patrols of the interior and exterior.Checking in authorized personnel onsite.Working a standing post for 8-hour shifts or longer.Ability to interact with the public in a direct and professional manner, strong interpersonal skills.

TO SUCCEED AT METRO ONE:

Have excellent interpersonal communication skills in customer service.High level of awareness, attentiveness, and alertness.Ability to de-escalate situations and remain calm in confrontation.Capable of standing for long periods of time and exhibiting physical strength.Astute observation and detailed notetaking/reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a valid New Mexico security license or the ability to attain one.High school diploma or equivalentMilitary Preferred, with a minimum of 2 or more years of active service in any military branch with an honorable, medical, or general discharge3 years of verifiable private/corporate security experience/corporate customer service
