The Tempe, AZ campus has a current opportunity for a Chemical Handler II working on the 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm).
As a Chemical Handler II, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by controlling and monitoring chemicals and/or hazardous waste within the manufacturing facility as well as shipping, receiving, controlling inventory and storage of products in distribution centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Monitor chemicals, related equipment, and waste system indicators


• Make chemical and equipment adjustments to ensure proper system functioning and chemical solution balance


• Remove and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids


• Inspect hazardous waste production and storage units


• Maintain operational logs


• Clean up chemical spills


• Receive and inventory various chemicals and materials used in organizational production.


• Set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machinery to assemble, process, package and/or distribute company products

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years chemical handling experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Solid understanding of chemicals (acids, bases, oxidizers, flammables, reducers, water-reactive) in a variety of forms (liquids, solids, gases, sludges, slurries) and related incompatibilities to prevent undesirable chemical reactions.


• Previous cleanroom manufacturing experience


• Forklift experience


• Hazardous waste knowledge

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$48,400.00 - $72,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Operations Incentive Plan (OIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
