Job Description:

Location: REMOTE

Salary: $120,000.00 USD Annually - $130,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Category Manager - Professional Services


Directs and executes strategic sourcing strategies, best practices, and initiatives that support improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, risk compliance and other areas as identified.

Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFIs and RFPs, documents bid events through correspondence to suppliers; develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with a cross-functional teams; conducts supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management.

Actively seeks ways to streamline business processes; researches and provides information on industry category trends and best practices.

Develops negotiation strategies, gains alignment from stakeholders, leads cross-functional, category-based negotiation teams, and implements appropriate supplier risk analysis. Directly negotiates with suppliers.

Uses spend information/data and business knowledge to identify sourcing projects for individual sub-categories and develops an overall plan.

Manages category performance by adhering to internal savings goals and reviewing financial models for commodity type items. Ensures spend portfolio for reoccurring managed spend is balanced through coordinated sourcing waves and leveraged with Capital project sourcing activities.

Ability to forge close working relationships throughout the company.

Drives supplier performance improvements.

Prepares business cases, including ROI models and effectively presents cost savings proposals to appropriate parties for approval and qualification.

Ensures purchasing compliance with legal and financial requirements (e.g., JSOX), procurement policies and preferred supplier agreements.


Experience


Minimum 8 years' experience in Procurement or category management in a large, multi-national company.

Experience managing or having supported enterprise-wide Contingent Labor programs.

Demonstrated sourcing experience leading RFx's, conducting supplier management activities, and managing a sourcing category for Professional Services and other categories.

Proficient at standard sourcing and category management concepts, practices, and procedures.

Proven critical thinking, analyzing, and crafting solutions from financial data.

Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of business requirements and category ownership having created categories strategies with sound analytics.

Excellent understanding of contracts and contract management.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and possess the ability to thrive in a continuous improvement environment.

Ability to prioritize well and maintain appropriate balance in a fast-paced, heavy-workload environment.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


CPSM, CPM, CPP, CPIM, or other designation preferred but not required.
