Role Description:

Arcadis seeks an Office Engineer to join the team in the California to support in the construction management and administration of the construction contract.

The Office Engineer will provide document control, correspondence management, and tracking in the management of construction contracts.

Role Accountabilities:


  • Coordinate between consultants, external agencies, contractors, property owners and other utility services for assigned projects.
  • Supervise office staff for all Office Engineering works that include processing and reviewing of progress payments for contractors.
  • Coordinate, review and assess contract submittals
  • Review and process construction for project design submittals and ensure forms as per existing standards.
  • Assist Resident Engineer and Structures Representative in ensuring compliance with submitted contract documents.
  • Monitor project budget and schedule and check project plans and drawings to verify authenticity of office plans.
  • Analyze and prepare necessary documents to support the change management process.
  • Manage and submit all reviewed contract documents to contract administrators for further approval.
  • Prepare correspondence and documents related to assigned project
  • Provide assistance to Senior Construction Manager as required
  • Prepare project records with details such as field progress, field conditions, equipment use and corrective actions.
  • Prepare monthly report on progress of assigned project with assistance of schedules, costs spreadsheets and perform analysis on same.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an Office Engineer on highway construction projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or another related field.

Key Skills and Abilities:

  • Valid California Class C driver's license.
  • Able to obtain Cal-OSHA/OSHA 30-hour training certification prior to work.
  • Skilled in Excel, Microsoft Office suite of products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Caltrans experience

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 to 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $200,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
