We're looking for a Sales Development professional to join our growing OGI team, a division of Montrose Environmental Group, Inc.


Montrose is a high-growth Environmental Services company offering Measurement and Analytical services and Environmental Resiliency and Sustainability services to a diverse range of clients in industry and government throughout North America and abroad. About Optical Gas Imaging (OGI)



Montrose provides clients with regulatorily required air monitoring and reporting solutions. Our clients are primarily midstream and upstream oil and natural gas producers.They rely on Montrose personnel, processes and emissions data management technologies to ensure they are in compliance with environmental regulations.


Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) detects methane emissions and helps oil and gas clients identify, quantify and report their fugitive emissions.OGI is an emissions detection technology used as part of an overall solution to safely and effectively drive clients regulatory and voluntary emission reduction objectives.

About the Sales Development Representative (SDR) Role



We are seeking an SDR to expand our business through outreach to prospective clients.


An SDR is the frontline of our sales organization, responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads, nurturing relationships, and setting appointments for our Business Development Representatives. You'll play a crucial role in building our sales pipeline and driving revenue growth.


Your primary responsibilities will be to:


  • Work closely across teams to develop & execute on a sales business plan to meet or exceed the assigned sales quota


  • Prospect and identify new accounts from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) and leverage the latest prospecting software platforms to connect Sensible EDP with prospects researching solutions


  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and tailor outreach accordingly


  • Conduct outbound activities like calls and emails to generate new business opportunities and increase sales pipeline


  • Utilize sales technology to meet outreach activity goals and maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system


  • Serve as the first point of contact between prospects and Sensible EDP to schedule sales meetings with prospects


  • Stay up to date on industry-specific events and regulations


Our Ideal Candidate




  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree, environmental sciences or other life science preferred


  • Lead generation and business development: The ability to proactively prospect, pursue and qualify leads, and assemble talking points, introductory emails, and prospecting scripts. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Disciplined sales hygiene: Proactively engage in high-quality sales administration activities, consistently using our CRM (Salesforce) as the primary source of truth


  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new processes and technologies


  • Previous experience in sales or customer service is a plus, but not required


  • Curious, courageous and challenges the status quo and offers alternative solutions to problems




  • A team player, not a lone wolf; you value the power of collaboration with your teammates and leaders
