CALIBRE Systems Inc. is a Consulting and Information Technology Solutions Company looking for a qualified individual to serve as Department Chair at the Army Force Management School (AFMS). Although the Department Chair has a management responsibility as outlined below, the person must also train/educate Leaders, Soldiers and Civilians on Force Management (FM) IAW TRADOC standards in support of AFMS.
The Department Chair duties include but are not limited to:
Manage instruction/facilitation for selected AFMS courses in accordance with the principles and delivery techniques of the Army Learning Model (ALM).
Serve as an AFMS SME in Army Force Management.
Supervise the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) on assigned lesson plans and other courseware (POIs, student handouts, slide decks, training aids, course management plans, content research, scripts and slides for Distributed Learning, etc.).
Conduct yearly reviews of AFMS course design and content with stakeholders.
Manage designated academic personnel.
Conduct reviews of other learning institutions’ curriculum for benchmarking.
Provide mentorship for students and graduates of the AFMS. Engage in a lifelong learning approach to education.
Organize, manage and maintain the school’s lifelong learning center (LLC) to include providing a functional update to all LLC members every other week.
Evaluate instructors / facilitators conducting training at AFMS when appropriate.
Write and or coordinate assigned chapters for the How The Army Runs (HTAR) Senior Leader Reference Handbook.
Ensure that the AFMS Academic Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) covers all contractual provisions and applicable Army Enterprise Accreditation Standards (AEAS).
Lead designated areas for Army Accreditation evaluation, American Council on Education (ACE) or any other external evaluation of AFMS curriculum.
Recommend educational technology solutions to improve delivery of AFMS content to wider audiences.
Review, approve and forward end of course reviews and assessments.
Provide recommendations to the Commandant on how to improve methods of delivery, content and curriculum across all courses within the AFMS.
Prepare, coordinate and or publish research papers, white papers, functional primers, reports and briefings as required.
Instruct Army leaders as part of the Force Integration Course for Senior Leaders (FICSL), tailored Senior Leader Orientation Courses (SLOCs) and / or any other AFMS course.
Conduct exportable training at locations throughout the United States when required
Oversee the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of resident training, as well as synchronous and asynchronous distributed learning.
Coordinate academic activities with the school Commandant, G-3/7 Force Management leaders, Course Sponsors in HQDA, Army National Guard HQs and other Army stakeholders.
Coordinate workload matrix to support all courses on a weekly basis.
Conduct a detailed lesson content review for accuracy, relevancy and currency on a yearly basis.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must have a Secret security clearance. The Department Chair must possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance as a condition of employment and retention. Failure to maintain a SECRET security clearance will be grounds to terminate employment.
Minimum Three years’ experience in teaching or leading a department in an accredited institution of higher learning or DoD academic institute.
And minimum Two years’ experience in curriculum and program development.
And reviewed or authored a research paper leading to a published article.
Must be able to travel.
Must be able and willing to plan, coordinate, integrate, and prepare staffing actions at the high-quality standard of HQDA.
Must be proficient at facilitation of a training and education session (Adult learning techniques).
Ability to work in team settings, communicate, and collaborate with multiple organizations.

Excellent written communications skills with the ability to write papers and to grade written papers at the executive communication level.

Proficiency with a Learning Management System, Microsoft Teams and the MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.

Required Education:
U.S. accredited Master of Science or Arts in an Educational related field or U.S. accredited Bachelor of Science or Arts with over ten years of Force Management experience.
