We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking an Engineer to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our New York City, NY, Rochester, NY, Boston, MA, Rocky Hill, CT, Bedford, NH, or Parsippany, NJ office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:

  • Perform mechanical/process design analysis and calculations according to project requirements.
  • Conduct operations and maintenance of remedial systems, including system optimization.
  • Assist in the development of construction drawings and technical specifications.
  • Observe and document field investigations and construction / remediation activities, spending at most 40% of their time in the field on assignments during their first two years.
  • Review regulations, as appropriate.
  • Perform routine data collection and optimization activities for remediation/treatment systems.
  • Monitor and document project-related activities.
  • Draft technical sections of project communications and reports.
  • Contribute to development of technical approaches to problem-solving.
  • Assist with the development of technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposal efforts on small- to medium-sized project opportunities.
  • Assist in identifying technical issues and approaches for evaluation.
  • Review and interpret regulations, as appropriate.
  • Support identification of opportunities to optimize/innovate existing and new procedures and systems.
  • Perform all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as Mechanical, Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
  • 0-5+ years of related engineering and/or consulting experience.
  • Must comply with the Guiding Principles and Code of Behavior articulated in our Company Charter.
  • Must comply with Company and client Health & Safety protocols.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with clients, senior project engineers and staff to support project decisions and strategy.
  • Commit to maintaining a membership in one professional society or technical organization in their discipline or primary area of technical interest.
  • Has (or will obtain within one year) initial professional certification in their core discipline, such as EIT or FE.
  • Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software. Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred, but not required.
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position in New York City, NY and Rochester, NY is $50,000 - $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
