Job Summary
General Summary/Overview Home Hospital, at Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home d elivers high quality, safe and cost-effective patient services through management of clinical staff. Ensures regulatory, organization, and program policies and standards are met. Proactively contributes to achievement of clinical, administrative, and financial goals. Includes hiring, training, and managing assigned clinical staff.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities - Oversees and manages assigned staff. - Manages clinical and non-clinical staff assignments. - Evaluates staffing, including mix and competence. Makes recommendations for improvement and implements changes as needed. - Provides guidance and coaching to staff in managing complex situations. - Ensures productivity standards are met. - Manages quality and fiscal outcomes, service utilization, and compliance with policies, protocols, and standards. - Reports are prepared, and information analyzed to manage patient care and team performance. - Clinical documentation and other records are reviewed to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of patient care. - Concerns and recommendations are appropriately escalated to Home Hospital program leadership and to Home Hospital Director of Nursing. - Employee performance is evaluated in a timely and on-going basis according to policy, using a variety of methods including direct observation of work. Performance variances are addressed in a timely basis. - Collaborates with members of the MGB Home Hospital leadership teams on operational improvements and strategic implementations. Participates in committees and meetings to provide direct input. - Works closely with MGB Home Hospital Clinical Leadership to identify and resolve quality and safety concerns to meet program goals.
Education/Degree Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Minimum 5 years clinical experience including recent home-based care and acute-care experience. - Minimum 3 years of prior supervisory or management experience Licensure, Certifications or Registration - Required: Current RN clinical license in Massachusetts
