This request is a for a per diem Speech Language Pathologist.
NW7094/Inpatient Speech Therapy has a 1.0 FTE employee going out on maternity leave for 6 months starting on 3/24/25. Inpatient SLP has a total of 3.30 FTE, and not replacing those hours will result in delays in responding to new requests and managing their overall patient volume in the acute care area, as well as delays in managing requests for outpatient video speech studies and the SLP needs of head/neck cancer patients in VCC (which the inpatient SLP service is also responsible for). For FY25 thru Dec 24, NW7094 has seen the following increases in both demand for services and production values (all compared to FY24, which was the prior historic high for these metrics): +15.1% for request for new consults, +22.5% in evaluations completed; +14.8% in all visits completed, and +13.2% increase in procedure codes billed. 3.30 of 3.30 budgeted FTE's are presently filled.
