Job Summary
General Overview
We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Urgent Care centers. We provide convenient care to our patients seven days per week with no appointment necessary. We are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday-Friday and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Our Per Diem APPs are required to work a minimum of two shifts per month and must be willing to rotate between all four of our Urgent Care centers when staffing needs require. Our centers are located at: - 30 Locust St, Northampton, MA 01060 - 12 College Hwy, Southampton, MA 01073 - 170 University Dr, Amherst, MA 01002 - 489 Bernardston Rd, Greenfield, MA 01301 Cooley Dickinson Urgent Care serves community members ages 18 months and up. Onsite radiology and lab/blood draw services are also available. Our Urgent Care centers service the following non-life-threatening minor illnesses and injuries with skill, compassion, and efficiency:
- Cold/flu symptoms
- Viral illnesses
- Cuts/minor lacerations
- Sutures/suture removal
- Minor burns
- Ear and eye infections
- Respiratory infections
- Urinary tract infections
- Rashes
- Strains/sprains
- Minor fractures
- Incision and drainage of abscesses
- Sports and camp physicals
- Occupational Medicine/Drug Testing
Qualifications
Qualifications
Education:
- Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies required.
Experience:
- 1+ years of acute care/urgent care experience strongly preferred.
Certification:
- Certified Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure required upon hire.
