Position Responsibilities:
Manages, plans, researches, develops, analyzes, and designs retrofit and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
Defines the procedures, special engineering, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for accomplishment of inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
Performs hands-on modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products.
Assists engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements.
Responsible for project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to maintenance, modifications, and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
Troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic, structural and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components or systems.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA).
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Must be willing and capable of travel both domestically and internationally 50% - with short notice and for extended periods, anywhere in the world and for potentially extended periods of time
Must be able to obtain a US Passport
1+ years of experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Aircraft Operations
1+ years of experience reading, understanding, and interpreting basic engineering drawings and technical specifications
Typical Education:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School Diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate +2 years related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
