Accountabilities



  • Develop and implement a global strategy to empower AstraZeneca's Oncology Business Unit (OBU) markets to embrace and lead Transform Care initiatives.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to embed Transform Care into business-as-usual operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and long-term sustainability.

  • Translate and align pivotal initiatives across OBU with a Medical/Innovation in care focus, ensuring strong medical leadership and/or representation.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement and communication, crafting positive relationships and identifying future opportunities for business investment.

  • Drive systematic approaches to initiative development across markets to ensure maximum impact for patients and alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Collaborate across a highly matrixed organization, fostering agreement and alignment among diverse stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the broader Oncology strategy across Medical, R&D and Commercial to find opportunities and alliances and represent Global Medical as required with senior partners and governance committees.



Essential Skills/Experience



  • 7-10 years of experience in life sciences or related fields

  • Proven ability to operate in a complex, matrixed organization and influence without direct authority.

  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience leading large-scale, transformative initiatives.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record of building senior-level relationships.

  • Entrepreneurial approach and ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Experience in and nuanced understanding of the Pharmaceutical Industry and how Medical Affairs and Commercial organizations operate.




Desirable Skills/Experience



  • Deep knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem and oncology care.

  • Experience in global roles with exposure to diverse markets and healthcare systems.

  • Expertise in creating and implementing effective communication strategies.



The annual base pay for this position ranges from $185,412.80 - 278,119.20. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
