Job Summary


Vertiv is seeking a dynamic Services Technology Manager to spearhead the development and enhancement of maintenance services for our cooling applications and UPS solutions primarily oriented to High computing applications associated to AI. This role will involve identifying market trends, improving service delivery models, and implementing innovative strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Digital Services is becoming an essential pillar or Vertiv Service portfolio, so the candidate should demonstrate experience in this kind of services.

The Service Technology Manager is responsible for driving technological advancement and innovation within the Service organization through collaboration and research. This role involves researching, curating, and leading the advancement of identified emerging technology needs of the Service business in Vertiv. The Service Technology Manager position is focused on understanding customer and Service operations needs to develop new technologies that can help our Service organization to extend the service portfolio or increasing the operations efficiency during on site activities. This high visibility position works closely with Regional Service Organizations, Customers, Global Business Units, Lines of Business, and OEM partners. The Technology Manager facilitates positive relationships across Global Business Units and across external partners. This role requires a solid ability to assimilate technical information, and continuously advance the technical and talent readiness in the global business, while supporting the organization's innovation goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Performs the following functions with minimal supervision:
  • Actively improves technology readiness processes, including identifying emerging technology needs.
  • Advances identified technology needs through partners, vendors, startups and universities
  • Develops and maintains a cohort of internal subject matter experts to support innovation goals.
  • Manages innovation and idea systems
  • Ensures efficient handoff of mature technologies to mainstream business units
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, gathering feedback to drive service enhancements and promote customer loyalty.
  • Identified areas of improvements based on regional service organizations needs.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic and Offering managers in a strategic roadmap for maintenance services in cooling applications and UPS, aligning with overall business objectives.
  • Identify new solutions, work with the regional service teams to execute, implement and follow pilots to validate the proposal
  • Create a networking inside Service Organization to capture internal VOC
  • Technology Integration: Leverage new technologies and tools to improve service efficiency, such as predictive analytics and IoT solutions.
  • Coordinate a group of 4-6 subject matter experts in the different technologies
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or electrical or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in innovation management oriented to Optimization and Maintenance Services or technology leadership for cooling and power applications.
  • Experience managing innovation projects and processes
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in maintenance services.
  • Knowledge of innovation methodologies like design thinking, lean startup, agile, etc.
  • Broad technical knowledge relevant to data centers and telecommunications
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities
  • Creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas
