Job Description:

Job Summary

Reporting to the FSQR Director for our Indianapolis, IN manufacturing facility, local producer of Marie Callendar pies. You will ensure food safety and quality of all products produced in the plant. Ensure specifications are defined and communicated. Perform inspections of processes, employee training, compliance with applicable food laws and regulations. Define best practices and provide guidance and adherence to quality policies. Provide support to Sales, R&D and Operations on customer issues and questions.

Position Responsibilities


  • Ensure all plant personnel follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) including proper waste disposal, personal hygiene and personal practices.

  • Develop and present a complete orientation process which provides training in the Main Concepts of Food Safety and Quality. Maintain compliance to annual training requirements.

  • Work with Operations and Maintenance to lead Food Safety and Quality ownership to the floor

  • Mentor your team in the performance of their responsibilities

  • Manage Plant timelines and critical milestones for the Food safety and Quality Improvement Plan and other food safety/quality metrics (ie. Complaint reduction, quality incident reduction, and quality index scores)

  • Interpret and communicate quality and food safety issues, both internal and external (consumer complaints), and initiates applicable corrective measures

  • Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory agency requirements (USDA, FDA, CFIA) and liaison with local food regulatory officers.

  • Provide leadership for compliance to food safety and quality programs Implements and maintain quality programs. i.e., HACCP, SQF certification, recall program, environmental monitoring program, and comprehensive pest control program.

  • Provide Corporate with quality assurance assistance involving vendor issues, both improvements and corrective measures

  • Oversee product quality with regards new product implementation and introduction into market. Ensure use of applicable MOPD and CQV tools.

  • FS&Q pillar owner for Conagra Performance System.

Position Qualifications


  • B. S. degree or equivalent in Biology, Food Science, or other related program

  • 3+ years of Leadership experience

  • Food Manufacturing or related field experience

  • Skills in monitoring and measurement of process control, auditing, manufacturing of food products, sanitation process, knowledge of HACCP, SSOP regulations, skills in team leadership, and root cause analysis

Compensation:

Pay Range:$79,000-$115,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity.Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
