Job Description:

Revvity has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Associate Scientist for molecular biology/viral production. The Associate Scientist position will perform primary tasks in an ISO 9001:2015 biology manufacturing laboratory in Lafayette, CO. Key responsibilities for this position include a wide array of duties related to the processing and preparation RNAi and Gene Editing products including molecular biology bench work, cloning, viral production, nucleic acid purification, collection replication, inventory control, and order packaging. The position will require the ability to learn and to troubleshoot various aspects of molecular biology and microbiology.

Job Responsibilities


  • Fulfill molecular biology/viral production through clone picking, glycerol library and collection replication, and molecular cloning.

  • Applying working knowledge of DNA isolation, bacterial transformation, molecular cloning, glycerol stock generation and handling, and bacterial culture expansion.

  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, 5S standards, and EH&S regulations and policies.

  • Achieve independent proficiency in all key assignments related to their role.

  • Maintains professional and active participation with all members of team for productive and efficient workflow.

  • Recognize process or assay anomalies and common equipment failure. Participate in solutions for process troubleshooting.

  • Compliance with all SOPs, training, and documentation (BRs and logs). Perform monthly inventory cycle counts. Perform assigned administrative functions for manufacturing (ordering, inventory, order status updates).

  • Follow company processes and values including Revvity's core values.

  • Demonstrate professional behavior and interaction with others.

Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in life or natural sciences

  • 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory setting

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in biology

  • Proficient in E. Coli bacterial transformation, DNA isolation, molecular techniques, or tissue culture in BSL2.

  • Advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel, with proficient data entry and typing skills.

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of a laboratory.

  • Professional and clear communication skills, both written and verbal, teamwork is essential.

  • 1-year commercial laboratory experience preferred

Compensation Range:

The hourly base pay range for this full-time position is $26.50- $30.00/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
