The Institutional Buyside business unit at FactSet is dedicated to delivering innovative tools for portfolio management, quantitative research, risk analysis, performance & attribution, and execution management. As part of the Performance product management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing FactSet's performance solutions, including FactSet Performance Solution (FPS), Portfolio Vault, and the forthcoming FactSet Total Return Solution. This role offers the opportunity to sit at the critical junction of client needs, market opportunities, and cutting-edge technology, driving the development of products that are not only competitive but essential to our clients' success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Product Manager - Performance Solutions, you will oversee the full lifecycle of FactSet's performance product suite, from discovery and strategy to execution and launch. This involves working across Product, Sales, Managed Services, Professional Services, and Support teams to prioritize enhancements and ensure we consistently meet and exceed client expectations.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Product Insights:
Gain a deep understanding of end-market dynamics, client workflows, and the competitive landscape to inform product decisions.
Validate market opportunities through data and client feedback to ensure solutions are valuable, viable, and user-friendly.
Use insights to define success metrics, tracking product engagement, adoption, and financial performance to measure and improve outcomes.
Product Strategy:
Collaborate with the Senior Principal Product Manager to create and communicate a clear product vision, value proposition, and roadmap aligned with FactSet's broader business goals.
Act as a product evangelist, ensuring the strategy is understood and embraced across the organization.
Partner with Sales and Marketing to validate market needs and opportunities, ensuring the roadmap reflects client demand.
Product Execution:
Lead cross-functional teams to align on vision, priorities, and execution plans.
Define and prioritize features, ensuring development teams have clear user requirements and success criteria.
Collaborate with UX Design to create user-friendly, impactful products that enhance the customer experience.
Partner with Product Marketing to craft go-to-market strategies and materials that drive adoption and client satisfaction.
Set realistic goals for product launches, monitor outcomes, and iterate quickly to optimize results.
As part of this role, you will also monitor the ongoing performance of products post-launch, ensuring they continue to meet client needs. This includes addressing support escalations, troubleshooting, and identifying opportunities to improve usability and reduce support costs.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for a driven individual with the skills, experience, and mindset to lead FactSet's Performance Solutions to the next level.
Key qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in STEM, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
7-10 years of relevant experience, ideally in product management, performance solutions, or a related field.
A product-first mindset, with a strong focus on understanding client problems, defining clear goals, and experimenting to find the best solutions.
Proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, design, and sales without direct authority.
Strong decision-making skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and confidently say no to misaligned demands.
