Position Summary
Responsible for taking customer orders, quoting small jobs, and dispatching trucks to multiple plants for the utilization of shipping & receiving of products. Coordinate and assign customer orders to specific plants for shipping & receiving based on product availability and delivery location. Monitor multiple locations throughout the day to be able to schedule customer orders and coordinate the movement of trucks from plant to plant. Maintain daily communication with weighmasters to coordinate and manage trucks to ensure we get max utilization of our truck fleet. Give daily guidance and leadership to all weighmasters. The goal is to work as a team to be able to successfully complete all customer orders and exceed customer expectation. Must be able to learn and effectively perform all dispatching responsibilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Check with trucking coordinators as to number of trucks available for today and future business
Check on any cancellations or delays in today's business and report to key personnel
Run current and future schedules (be able to run daily excel reports)
Learn how to problem solve in relation to customer service issues
Handle heavy volume of telephone calls
Learn to schedule business for the day & future dates
Handle customer (internal & external) orders
Be able to multi-task and apply the necessary skills to manage daily operation
Be able to effectively communicate with Key personnel on any changes do the dispatch schedule
Work with truck coordinators on moving orders on schedule as changes occur
Learn to answer customers questions as to progress of their ongoing jobs
Be able to problem solve and find solutions
Communicate with Weighmasters on changes to Dispatch Schedule throughout the day
Manage the dispatch schedule to ensure all customer orders/Jobs are complete
Learn to check verbal orders in order entry to verify that information is correct

Minimum Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience in Aggregate production, Constructionor related industries.
Experience in high volume call center setting
Bilingual Preferred
K nowledge Skills and Abilities
Sales aptitude in dealing with customers
Demonstrates good negotiating skills and displays empathy
Uses good verbal communication skills and telephone technique
Ability to plan, organize, execute, and troubleshoot
Proven record of dependability

Experience in analytical aggregate distribution or in the industry
Must be able to work in a stressful environment with multiple and conflicting demands
Must be a self-starter and a team player
Must be willing and able to learn all aspects of the Automated Dispatch System
Delivery Tracking
Capable of tracking trucks as they deliver product
Manage the board for when trucks are being loaded, delivering and returning to the yard.
Assist Logistics manager with real time information to make timely decisions that transfer assets due to plant down time or emergency situations.
Ticketing
Learn to write up tickets for any hourly work or waiting time
Learn to monitor jobs: determine if delivery rates are correct; if jobs can be started earlier, or if there are going to be delays on P.M. jobs
Inform team of customer cancellations
Inform maintenance of plant problems
Learn to move trucks from plant to plant as need arises
Learn to record any unusual situation that occurs on a job on corresponding verbal order for future reference
Assist Drivers in finding job sites
Get assistance to Drivers in emergencies
Inform Customer Representatives of problems on jobs that need their expertise and/or assistance
Learn to take orders for current day and/or future delivery as needed
Learn to make moves or changes in orders for customers
Answer questions regarding schedule from Production Coordinators and Customer Representatives
Other duties as required
Future Business
Learn to determine if order is in schedule for next day
Learn to take phone calls and schedule business for next day and up to 90 days in the future
Learn to verify with shop on number of trucks available for next day
Inform Customer Representatives about problems with the next day business
Attend safety meetings
Work to improve relations with customers
Learn to compute Drivers' load schedule for next day
Other duties as required
Physical Requirements
Must be able to communicate clearly on telephone
Must be able to use office equipment including PC, adding machine, fax machine, printers, etc. for up to 12 hours per day.
Must be able to walk on uneven and / or slippery ground.
Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day for extended periods.
Must be able to work in an indoor office setting.
