Minimum 2 years environmental and safety in a manufacturing environment with familiarity with OSHA standards, particularly general industry safety regulations OR 3 years of experience through an environmental and safety program.

This role is responsible for maintaining various Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs, policies, and procedures within the multiple areas in the Metal Finishing department.
Responsibilities:
Assist in EHS ASAT audits and testing.
Develop, maintain, and perform training on EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
Perform responsibilities in maintaining various EHS policies and procedures.
Assist in Problem Solving A3s dealing with EHS issues.
Monitor contractor adherence to EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
Provide resources, and act as a resource, for program managers/teams, and plant employees, as needed for EHS issues.
Perform monthly EHS department inspections/audits internally.
Perform and assist in company EHS external audits.
Develop audit tools.
Develop and conduct monthly safety training; as well as, conducting toolbox meetings as necessary.
Complete training on related EHS topics, as necessary.
Ensure, and assist in, the completion of PEHSRs, as related to EHS.
Prepare Triple Is and follow up on near-misses and first-aid incidents.
Perform incident investigation for incident root cause analysis.
Assist the location's CIH with exposure assessments and monitoring.
Assess PPE requirements and assist in PPE selection, including, the completion of hazard assessments.
Ensuring that all chemicals in the departments have been identified and ensuring that the MSDS is maintained in Dolphin. Labeling all chemical containers, as needed.
Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.
Maintains full compliance and conducts all activities in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
Requires occasional on-call availability outside of regular business hours.

Skills:
Computer skills to include a working knowledge of Office 365, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Lotus Notes. Knowledge of other software is a plus.

Ability to develop and conduct training programs and informational presentations on a variety of EHS topics.
Ability to conduct presentations and hands-on training to a group.
Good writing skills to develop a wide range of documents.
Good verbal communication skills.
