As a Blood Collection Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that provides plasma and transfusable platelets to local hospitals and patients wherever needed in the community. Six months previous work experience with apheresis machine (Alyx/Haemonetics) required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Schedule: Days (Monday-Saturday) Works 5 days per week. Start time varies (Days) weekly.

• Greet blood donors and make them comfortable with the procedure, answering questions about the process as needed.


• Perform apheresis collections of source plasma and transfusable platelets and plasma.


• Performs all duties related to the collection, handling, and packing of blood products.


• Work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals


• Maintain accurate records.

• Is excited to deliver comfortable, convenient, and consistent plasma and blood donation experiences to our donors in our new Compensated Collection facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.


• CPR certification required.


• Six months previous work experience with apheresis machine (Alyx/Haemonetics) required.


• Previous source plasma experience preferred.


• Bilingual, proficient in both English and Spanish (reading and speaking), with a familiarity of related medical terminology preferred.
