Job Summary -
The Mechanical Lab is focused on providing safe, accurate, and efficient procedure to support Dealer Technicians repairing Caterpillar equipment. As a Mechanical Lab Manager within the Service Information team, you'll have a unique opportunity to lead a global team that creates Repair Procedures for all of Caterpillar product and component groups to resolve service events related to Caterpillar equipment in the field.
You'll own not only own the global process for creating repair procedures, but for the safety and engagement of the Mechanical Lab team. You will work with all Product Groups to influence for iron to validate the procedures for safety and quality. You will also lead innovation that serve our Dealer Tech with service procedures, tooling, and videos while building greater value for Caterpillar customers and business.

What You Will Do:
This is a leader of leaders' position
Lead a team of 38 including Managers, Project Leaders, and Service Developers who create service procedures for dealer technicians globally.
Build an organizational climate/culture that encourages learning, collaboration, excitement, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success
Management and continuous improvement of all procedures and tooling related to serving dealer technicians for Caterpillar equipment
Build relationships with Dealers and Product Groups for connection and improvement of D&A procedures
Increase iron validation and authoring capability of Mechanical Lab team
Collaborates extensively with India D&A team to assure quality and completion of NPI, revisions, SIS feedback, and innovation
Lead the development of the D&A group including LC, Tucson, and India to prepare for future Caterpillar product growth
Sponsor projects, act as a stakeholder, and participate on projects that are centered on improving technician efficiency for all Caterpillar equipment

Experience working with Caterpillar dealers, product groups, and industry teams in product support
Demonstrated experience with Caterpillar equipment repairs, tooling, process management and ACM

Summary Pay Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
