Job Description:



The Director of User Experience is the leader of CoreLogic's UX Practice and has one primary agenda: Build the Right Thing. This position is a unique chance to lead and inspire our team of designers in creating user-centered solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in our industry.


Your primary objective will be to build products with a deep understanding of our users, ensuring their needs are met while delivering value to the business. In doing so, you'll serve as an influential mentor and educator, guiding your team and the enterprise on the importance of user-centered design principles.


As a skilled storyteller, you'll articulate the vision for our product roadmap and rally colleagues around this shared goal. We're looking for someone who is passionate about the UX craft, enjoys getting their hands dirty, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Your role will require strong communication skills to effectively convey the ROI of UX to executives and stakeholders.



Your responsibilities include:





  • Managing the dissemination, application, and improvement of our UX practice throughout the company, often working closely with cross-functional partners. You'll collaborate closely with product, technology, and business leaders to ensure our design teams are well-resourced and integrated within the larger organization.






  • Support the development and maintenance of our UX strategy and facilitate its dissemination across the enterprise. Furthermore, you will champion user research efforts by maintaining an up-to-date resource library and fostering a strong user community to streamline our research processes.






  • Champion for user experience at CoreLogic, you'll be tasked with managing UX practitioners, attracting top talent to develop world-class products, and maintaining a high-performing organization through coaching, mentoring, and collaboration. This position requires excellent management skills to facilitate growth, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing goals and priorities.






  • Advocate for UX across the company, collaborating with partners, communicating clearly, and remaining empathetic throughout your interactions. Together, we can create exceptional user experiences that delight our customers and drive business value.





Job Qualifications:





  • Experienced UX design professional with a degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent experience


  • Over a decade of expertise in UX/product design


  • Five years of leading teams of UX professionals and assuming other leadership roles


  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and managing large, complex enterprise projects


  • Successfully fosters growth and collaboration with diverse skill sets and personalities


  • Experience in primary and secondary research methods, content, and information architecture strategies


  • Expertise in interface design principles and user-centered design methods, including Accessibility standards and guidelines


  • Ability to influence decision making across various levels within an organization across a matrixed environment


  • Collaborates effectively with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Marketing


  • Exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills


  • Masters managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines


  • Manages vendor relationships and negotiates contracts for professional services, tools, or contract labor


  • Pioneers next generation of UX practices


  • Genuine sense for innovation


  • Sees themselves as both a team lead and an eager learner willing to mentor others


  • Constantly strives for improvement and challenges the status quo.
