We're looking for a talented Planning Manager to support our industry leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc.

As the Planning Manager, you will manage and improve the end-to-end planning process from forecast to product delivery. You will optimize schedules to utilize assets efficiently assets to meet business and customer goals. You will lead Sales and Operations Planning to assess the capacity and feasibility for both short and long-range planning. You will play a key role in identifying and solving capacity constraints with the help of Operations and Engineering.

What you'll do at Tosoh Quartz.

• Develop and maintain metrics that measure the effectiveness of production planning.
• Facilitate and enable continuous improvement of planning processes.
• Own the sales, inventory and operations planning process.
• Forecast reviews with Sales to determine and maintain appropriate finished goods levels.
• Evaluate forecast and determine future gaps. Work with Operations and Engineering to plan mitigation and work proposals with executive team.
• Assist Purchasing personnel in creating forecasts for raw materials based on the finished goods forecast.
• Work with others to create production schedules for each department that efficiently utilize production equipment capacities and manpower.
• Evaluate and determine optimal WIP levels and lead-time performance.
• Determine optimal finished good levels and align production plan accordingly.
• Drive cost savings through effective management of production schedule.
• Deliver a smoothed monthly production schedule that balances load across the resources.
• Communicate work order delays to appropriate stakeholders and determine Root Cause and Counter Measures (RCCM).
• Provide daily direction to Production Planners to ensure adherence with release strategies.

Who you are:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred, or an equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• 5+ years planning experience in a discrete manufacturing process.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive ERP experience (we use IFS) and advanced excel skills.
• APICS designation strongly preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues and drive action.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills.
