Job Summary
The Dispatch Assistant will perform a wide range of tasks to support the dispatch team. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required. Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the dispatch manager
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation as necessary
- Assist with checking trucks and loads for all orders
- Provides support to our daily yard crew by helping to organize the yard and load trucks
- Assisting customers as needed
- Checking to make sure products are ready and loads are secure
- Works closely with all dispatcher and yard crew
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Effective communication skills
- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic as needed to count and take inventory
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
