Functions



• To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture as well as animal wellbeing standards.


• Receive training as required


• Perform various positions as required/assigned by Supervisor.



Description



This posting is for the Harvest Room Labor position which Hangs live birds in a shackle.



Tasks Located after the cage dumper, this is the first chain-driven operation. The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight. All live hangers will rotate positions from front to back. The hangers will place any DOA's into DOA barrel at end of conveyor.


Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing pulling and reaching are required. These positions work in a dusty, hot, and humid to cold and damp environment on slippery surfaces. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching and pulling.
