Project Engineer Position Overview Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects, with a focus on traffic, highway, and bridge systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project goals and objectives.
Prepare and review engineering designs, specifications, and plans for traffic, highway, and bridge projects.
Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet project milestones.
Communicate project updates and technical information to clients and team members.
Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and presentations for project proposals and progress.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and contractors to ensure project alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or ability to obtain in the near future.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering, specifically in traffic, highway, or bridge projects.
Ability to work and report out of an office based in Columbia MD.
