Minimum 2-year A.S. degree in electrical technology or comparable experience.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing with hands-on exposure to electrical maintenance and controls programming
Experience with PLC controls, HMIs, and networks, and ability to partner with controls engineers for problem-solving, design, and improvements.
Strong skills in reading and interpreting electrical and control schematics, PIDs, and technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
Program plant floor Automation PLCs and design computer-based HMI interfaces.
Troubleshoot, maintain, and modify controls server systems.
Set up and tune PID loops.
Select, install, troubleshoot, and maintain process, packaging, and utility equipment along with instrumentation (flow, level, temperature, weight).
Utilize Rockwell Automation communication methods (DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet, RIO) and electrical hardware (PowerFlex VFD, Servos, MCCs, ControlLogix, E3 Plus overload relay).
Manage plant electrical control programs, documentation, and drawings.
Maintain electrical infrastructure programs, power factor management, and electrical monitoring.
Ensure safe and efficient plant operation through knowledge of power distribution systems, motor control centers, VFDs, and process/packaging/utility equipment.
Analyze process and equipment performance data to improve product quality and reduce costs.
The role requires strong technical skills, including reading electrical schematics and understanding motors and drives, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing. A minimum 2-year degree in electrical technology or similar experience is needed, along with strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Occasional travel may be required. The position offers a salary range of $59,000 to $88,000 plus a 7.5% bonus, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, including some overtime and on-call support.
