Job Title: Head of Engineering - Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary Head of Engineering - Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with eagerness in drones and autonomous vehicles to lead our technological initiatives and solidify our position as a market leader in AI surveillance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both hardware and software development, regulatory environments, and the unique challenges of the aerospace and transportation industries.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure technology drives innovation and creates a competitive advantage.
2. Technology Development:
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of drone and autonomous vehicle technologies.
- Ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and industry standards while maintaining high performance.
3. Team Management:
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary technical team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and skill enhancement.
4. Research & Development:
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in drone and autonomous vehicle technologies; drive R&D efforts to integrate new technologies into products.
- Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and government agencies to advance technology and foster innovation.
5. Project Management:
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery, effective resource allocation, and adherence to budgets.
- Implement best practices in project management, utilizing agile methodologies to enhance efficiency.
6. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards in the drone and autonomous vehicle sectors.
- Advocate for and implement industry-leading safety protocols in product development and operational practices.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field; Ph.D. is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with significant experience in drones, autonomous vehicles, or related fields.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing innovative technology products to market.
- Strong understanding of software development (AI, machine learning, computer vision) and hardware integration.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks governing drones and autonomous technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
