To support our growth, we are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated QA/QC Manager to oversee both quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) functions, ensuring the highest levels of quality across our operations.

Job Overview:

The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the quality assurance and quality control systems at KI Liquid Engineering. This role will manage both the QA and QC teams, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements. The QA/QC Manager will also lead efforts to analyze quality data, handle customer complaints, conduct product testing, and support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
  • Establish Quality Standards: Develop and implement company-wide quality standards for products and processes, ensuring they align with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Monitor QA Testing: Oversee all QA testing activities, ensuring proper methods and procedures are followed to verify that products meet established quality standards. Identify gaps in testing procedures and recommend improvements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, EPA, ISO) and ensure that all products, processes, and documentation comply with relevant laws, standards, and certifications.
  • Quality Documentation: Ensure that all quality assurance documentation is accurately recorded and maintained. This includes test results, inspection reports, corrective actions, and other relevant quality records.
  • Training & Development: Train employees and production teams on quality procedures, inspection standards, and best practices to ensure quality is maintained at every step of production.
  • Customer Complaints & Investigations: Investigate customer complaints related to quality, conduct root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Quality Audits: Conduct internal audits to evaluate compliance with established quality standards. Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.

Quality Control Responsibilities:
  • Product Testing & Inspections: Oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, environmental samples, and finished goods. Perform routine and non-routine analyses to ensure compliance with product specifications.
  • Inspection of Production: Verify that all processes conform to established quality standards through inspection of random batches, including checking dimensions, surface quality, and other critical product features.
  • Sampling Procedures: Develop and implement sampling procedures for critical points in the manufacturing process to ensure quality is maintained at every stage of production.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality control test results, interpret data, and communicate findings to production and senior management. Prepare and present reports on quality trends, nonconformances, and root cause analyses.
  • Nonconformance Management: Oversee the identification and disposition of nonconforming materials or products. Manage the corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any quality issues that arise.
  • Quality Control Systems: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of quality control systems, recommending improvements where needed to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.

General Responsibilities:
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and quality control processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relationships: Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the raw materials and components meet the required quality specifications. Handle supplier quality issues and drive improvements in supplier quality performance.
  • Inspection Criteria & Procedures: Develop and implement inspection criteria and procedures for the inspection of incoming materials, in-process production, and final products.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC): Assist in the design and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC) across departments to improve product quality and process reliability.
  • Training & Supervision: Lead and supervise the QA/QC team, ensuring they are trained on industry best practices, quality procedures, and safety standards. Provide ongoing coaching and development to ensure team members are meeting performance goals.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality-related activities, including inspections, testing, deviations, and corrective actions. Prepare reports on product quality for internal stakeholders, management, and clients.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certifications) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or related industries.
  • Experience in managing QA/QC teams and implementing quality systems is essential.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, quality control methods, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, EPA, ASTM).
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and data interpretation using tools such as SPC, Minitab, or other quality management software.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present quality data and reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with developing and implementing quality control and assurance procedures.
  • Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of quality management systems, product testing, and quality assurance protocols in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with international quality standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, or industry-specific regulations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of laboratory testing, equipment calibration, and quality control best practices.
