About the Role
As an IT Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's IT systems and infrastructure. This position involves managing, maintaining, and enhancing IT solutions that support critical business functions, enabling operational efficiency and data security.
This role is based in Washington, DC, and offers a hybrid work arrangement of two days onsite per week. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud-based solutions.
Implement and support enterprise IT systems to enhance scalability, security, and reliability.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop IT solutions that align with business objectives.
Ensure compliance with IT policies, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity standards.
Oversee system backups, disaster recovery plans, and failover protocols.
Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of IT services.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role.
Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux servers, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
Experience with system monitoring tools, backup solutions, and IT service management (ITSM).
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation
Base Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
Bonus Potential
